The Early Church in Acts: Lessons for Today’s Church

2nd of my 3 final year projects that is published.

Churches of today need to reflect and examine their practices in the light of the Book of Acts. Close examination and soul-searching should be conducted, bearing in mind Hosea 10:12, “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” Using the early church as a model to pattern themselves after, modern churches need to turn back to God and seek His face. Churches today are on the landslide of apostasy and indifference to God’s Word. The importance of going back to the Bible and comparing ourselves to God’s unchanging standard cannot be understated. Only in this way can churches prepare to restore the glory of the Bible days, winning others to Christ and receiving God’s blessings.
